The CalArts and CU-UAW bargaining teams met on Dec. 17 for their sixth session on consolidated bargaining. The parties reached tentative agreement on three articles and one appendix: (1) Health and Safety, (2) Job Postings (for Regular and Technical Faculty and Staff only), (3) Union Management Committee, and (4) Appendix – Standards of Professional Conduct, which will be a policy applicable to all employees of the Institute.
The parties further discussed the Policies and Procedures article and decided to put that on hold until more tentative agreements were reached in the collective bargaining agreements (CBAs). In addition, the parties set the schedule for further consolidated bargaining in 2026.
Good progress is being made.
