We have two separate updates to share today:
On August 12, 2025, the CWA-Technical Artist Support Staff union members unanimously voted to ratify what will be its second collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with CalArts. The two parties reached agreement on the terms of the CBA last month.
Following our August 6 update on negotiations between CalArts and CU-UAW regarding workforce reductions, the parties continued to meet on a severance package for affected staff, and reached agreement on August 14.
CalArts values our ongoing partnership with CWA and CU-UAW, and we thank the bargaining teams for their efforts.
