CalArts United-UAW filed petitions for representation of three bargaining units on Feb. 7, 2025. Per the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), CalArts posted and shared with employees the following Notices of Petition of Election, one for each of the units—generally, (1) Regular and Technical Faculty, (2) Special Faculty, and (3) Administrative Staff. Please refer to the respective notice for the detailed description of each unit.
These notices will also be physically posted at the main entry of CalArts’ main campus and on a bulletin board near the Provost’s Office, near the Facilities Management Office, in the Vista Village breakroom, the First Street Downtown location, and in REDCAT.
Once the details for the secret ballot election are finalized by the NLRB, they will be shared in a separate notice.
